Description

Sculptors from around the world will be in Weston creating masterpieces in sand. For the first week of the event the artists will be completeing a sculpture so you will be able to see them at work.

This year’s festival is all about life under the sea. People will be able to ogle at outstanding sculptures of a variety of things associated with the ocean, from sand fish and sharks, to the odd mermaid or two!

Come and watch world-renowned sand artists chiselling away at the impressive creations, which will take pride of place until September, admire the sculptures and get inspiration for your own sandcastles! This is the largest sand sculpture event taking place in the UK this summer.

The festival is open from 10am to 6pm each day until Sunday 6 September.

Entry: Adults £3, Concessions £2, Children under 12 £1 (children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult).

Where is it?

The festival takes place on the beach at Weston-super-Mare, near the SeaQuarium.
Follow seafront signs from J21 of the M5.
There are public transport links into the town centre.

Description

Weston Super Mare is a great family seaside resort with plenty of amenities, sandy beaches and donkey rides. The tourist information centre can be found close to the beach.
