Popular annual street market and fayre in and around the moated 14th century Nunney Castle, near Frome in Somerset. Over 120 stalls selling plants, arts and crafts, collectibles and more, as well as food and drink, live music and funfair attractions for children of all ages. Nunney Fayre dates back to a royal charter granted by King Henry III in 1260; revived in 1975, the modern fayre is a pleasant day out for all the family. Theme of the 2011 Nunney Street Market and Fayre is classic motorsports; a recent lord of the manor of Nunney, the late Rob Walker, was the most successful private racing team owner in history. A display of priceless classic cars is scheduled, as well as an exhibition of world-famous trophies, photos and racing memorabilia. Admission to Nunney Fayre is free, but a £3 parking charge applies.
