Berrow Beach

An old wreck at low tide on Berrow beachA six mile long stretch of golden sand and dunes makes Berrow one of Somerset's loveliest beaches but be warned although the beach is perfect for sunbathing, kite surfing, horse riding and other beach sports it is not good for swimming and children should be carefully supervised as low tide reveals a large expanse of treacherously soft mud.

The beach is also very popular with anglers and is a nature reserve attracting many species of birds. Although dogs are allowed all year round on Berrow beach be careful not to let them go near mud along the shoreline.
