Ashton Windmill

Ashton WindmillThis gorgeous windmill sits on a ridge known as the Isle of Wedmore amidst the Somerset Levels.

The mill dates back to the 18th century and was originally used as a flour mill. It has been carefully restored and is now open to the public. From the windmill and indeed from Isle of Wedmore visitors can admire stunning views across the Somerset Levels and the Cheddar Gorge.

Opening Times
Ashton Windmill is open from Easter through to September, Sundays and Bank Holidays and on Wednesdays in July and August 2:30 - 4:30pm.

Admission is free. Group visits available by arrangement.

Where is it?
Ashton Windmill is situated near the village of Stone Allerton on between Weare and Wedmore.
