The Quantock Hills

E-mail Print
The QuantocksThe Quantocks are a range of hills which run from Bridgewater to Taunton. Stretching for about 12 miles, the Quantock Hills are officially designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty.

The highest point in the Quantocks is Will's Neck which reaches 384 meters and commands outstanding views across the region and on a clear day you can see as far as Wales. The whole area offers superb walks and is dotted with picturesque villages, winding rivers and areas of heath and woodland.

There are many steep sided wooded valleys known as Coombes and the hills are rich in wildlife including red deer, buzzards and otters.
